"The
manuscript
diary of Charles Morgan Gillham, an officer on
board HMS Implacable. The Implacable was
stationed at Lisbon from April to July 1839,
after which she sailed in a convoy for Malta and
Turkey. The diary covers the period from Sunday
24 March 1839 to Friday 13 September 1839 [this
is mistakenly given as August in the diary]".
